On the Plus Side....

It's a good thing that I don't have a little girl, because I would be severely in debt to both Target and Old Navy (and probably American Eagle for the little ones too). I know kids clothes weren't that cute when I was little!

And I was worried about me....

I came across this blog and these people's unfortunate situation, their little girl fell into a canal and was found by a farmer two miles down. I hadn't heard about it on the news, although some of you maybe have. It's amazing the trials that each of us has to endure in this life, each one is unique to us. Reading this made me realize that my current trial may be small compared to what others are going through. You need to take the time to read this. I am in awe of the courage and strength that this couple is showing. Read their story here. (There are multiple posts to read).
Life is short, too short sometimes.

When you're upset...

There are a lot of things to do to help take out your frustrations. I get a lot of 'good' cleaning done when I'm stressed-I should probably stick to using that as my stress release.

What I should NOT do is:

A. Shop-I like to think that retail therapy is soothing. It is, in the moment. My guilt sets in afterwards though-so that just usually adds more stress...eventually.

B. Sew-It's amazing how much more you can mess up a project when you're already stressed to begin with. Then you add in the stress and frustrations that come with sewing (it would probably help if I didn't try to be such a perfectionist).

My sewing frustrations are really what prompted this post-I just added the other stuff in as I vented. I just finished a project that I have done multiple times before, but I really struggled with it this time. Really Struggled.

So note to self. When you are stressed and upset, stay clear of the sewing machine...it only makes it worse.

One day I might post the reasons behind my frustrations, in hopes to get them off my chest. In the meantime, I'm just frustrated, upset and in serious need of a trip to Disneyland.
